For over seventy years, the legendary Cape Playhouse has been bringing professional summer theatre to Cape Cod. Often referred to as the “Birthplace of the Stars”, the Cape Playhouse has attracted a long litany of famous actors since its inception in 1927. The list reads like a veritable ‘who’s who’ of stage and screen.

Just weeks before his death, legendary psychoanalyst Sigmund Freud invites young writer C.S. Lewis to his London study. On the eve of England’s entry into World War II, the two brilliant men have a battle of the minds over God, love, sex, music and the meaning of life. This deeply touching, intellectually thrilling play laced with humor and insight finds two of Europe’s greatest minds – and men – forming an unlikely bond of friendship. Wounded Warrior Fundraiser
The Sham Rods Classic Car Club Cruise

Upper Cape Regional Technical High School

The Sham Rods Classic Car Club Cruise will feature Douglas NAPA Auto Parts, Buzzards Bay as the Dash Plaque Sponsor. In addition to the Car Show, Douglas NAPA will be giving out Discount Cards to reward active Military personnel and Veterans in appreciation for their service.

Massachusetts Maritime Academy students and first responders will also be eligible to receive discounts with an ID. NAPA hats will be given to those offering donations to the Wounded Warrior Project. Participating car owners will receive a NAPA discount offer also.

Sham Rods Cruises historically and nationally are based on vehicles that are at least 25 years old (meet antique status) and fall into the following categories: street-rods, hot-rods, street-machines, nostalgia/antique autos, muscle cars, and race and performance cars and trucks.

2nd Annual Woods Hole Film Festival Benefit Event

Comedian Jimmy Tingle returns to Woods Hole on Saturday, June 28th at 8 p.m. to perform in the 2nd Annual Woods Hole Film Festival Benefit at the Woods Hole Community Hall, 68 Water Street, Woods Hole. Last year’s sold out show was a highlight kick-off of the summer season. This year, Tingle returns with his new show “Making Comic Sense of 2014”.

Born in Cambridge, Tingle’s career spans three decades, as a comedian, writer, actor, filmmaker, activist and entrepreneur. He rose up from the Boston comedy boom of the ‘80s, the scene that launched Denis Leary, Bobcat Goldthwait and Paula Poundstone.
