Why/how did you choose a career in radio?
Because I’ve been told all my life that I talk too much – figured I might as well put it to work!
My journey in radio began accidentally. I went back to school when my youngest was in first grade – and discovered oral communication. During one summer break, I decided to see what it was like to work at a radio station by interning (that’s right – no money!!) for a summer. That’s all it was supposed to be. But I fell in love with the whole works, and was blessed enough to be surrounded by people who were kind enough to teach me what they knew. I kind of… took to it. That was almost 17 years ago – the summer never ended!
What do you like best about your job?
The people I meet and get to talk to on a regular basis. And the music. Work that centers around the music I love… a dream come true.
Where did you grow up?
Grew up in Yarmouth – graduated from D-Y. This is home.
What are some of your favorite activities?
I live for a good book and the quiet time to read it. I also love biking with my husband (we’ve been end-to end on the Kancamagus Highway in NH once, and to the top and back twice. A very hard climb – but on the way down, you don’t have to pedal for 4 AND A HALF MILES!!), traveling – anywhere (my favorite trips so far have been to Germany, Paris, and Phoenix), and I am, I confess, a video game addict of sorts.
When not at work, where would you be most likely found?
At home – I like my family best!! When we get away, it’s usually to the White mountains.
Words of wisdom:

I should have this tattooed on my forehead. Backwards, so I see it in the mirror every morning first thing, lol!
