Every now and again you can pick up on the East Texas drawl in Monica Rizzio’s voice. Most people assume that she was raised in New England based on the melodic arrangements and harmonies she has produced as the front woman of the New England band Tripping Lily for the past 10 years. Her latest project, Monica Rizzio & Old King’s Highway, draws on her Texas roots and bridges Folk, Country, and Bluegrass.
