LOS ANGELES (AP) — Yes drummer Alan White says bassist Chris Squire had told him to keep going regardless of what happens, so that’s what the band will do. White tells Billboard they’ve got to maintain the Yes name and “meet the high standards of musicianship Chris created.” Squire died June 27 of leukemia and had planned to sit out the next Yes tour anyway, with Billy Sherwood taking over his bass duties. The tour is set to begin August 7 in Mashantucket, Connecticut. White says Yes will pay tribute to Squire during the shows but they don’t know how yet.
