As the Cape Symphony opens its new season, Worlds Await takes audiences on a thrilling journey through the cosmos and the unknown. The program features Saariaho’s meditation on the cosmos, Prokofiev’s Violin Concerto No. 1, and culminates with Holst’s The Planets, a vivid suite of astrological portraits.
Ticketholders can also enjoy a pre-concert talk with trombonist and scholar George Scharr, beginning one hour before the performance.
