CHICAGO (AP) — The Grateful Dead’s five farewell shows have made some serious money. Billboard magazine reports the three concerts in Chicago and two in Santa Clara, California, this month brought in $52.2 million. The concerts also set a record as the biggest pay-per-view event of all time. Broadcast producer Live Alliance says the “Fare Thee Well” shows had more than 400,000 subscriptions and online streams. That number will likely grow because the shows are still available until August 2.
