NEW YORK (AP) — It would be hard for any recording artist to drop an album the same day Adele dropped her highly anticipated album “25” — even harder for an artist who hadn’t dropped an album in seven years — or had a major hit since the 1980s. But that’s the hand that was dealt Enya. Her new project is called “Dark Sky Island” — and it’s an effort to recapture some of the chart success she has had in the past. She has sold 80 million albums worldwide in her three decades in the music industry. Enya says she believes “fame and success are two very different things.” And she says she’s fortunate she was able to make decisions that let her focus more on her art than focus on being famous.
