SANTA YNEZ, Calif. (AP) — The 911 calls from David Crosby indicate he was genuinely concerned for the jogger he hit. The California Highway Patrol has released the calls Crosby made after hitting Jose Jimenez with his car on Sunday. In the first call, Crosby says he’s the one who hit Jimenez and he asks for an ambulance right away. He tells a dispatcher the sun was in his eyes and he couldn’t see Jimenez. After the dispatcher tells Crosby help is on the way, Crosby hangs up, but he called a second time asking how fast the ambulance will be there. Jimenez is hospitalized with broken bones, cuts and bruises, and he is expected to survive.
