LONDON (AP) — In his lifetime, Brian Epstein was offered millions of dollars for his contract with The Beatles. It’s finally for sale — at least, the actual piece of paper is. Sotheby’s London expects the contract will go for as much as $764,000 when it’s auctioned on September 29. It was signed October 1, 1962, just days before “Love Me Do” was released. It was the only management contract between Epstein and the final lineup of The Beatles. One clause called for the termination of the contract with three months’ notice, but all parties involved signed an amendment cancelling that the following January as a sign of mutual trust.
